ITC Grand Central — the practical Lower Parel hotel
ITC's Mumbai business hotel at Parel: 242 rooms and suites on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, a short drive from the Lower Parel towers, 12 km from the international terminal, with a ballroom and terrace gardens for 400 and ITC's Indian kitchens. The hotel for a Lower Parel working week without the luxury-tower rate.
ITC Grand Central is the business hotel of the mill district: 242 rooms and suites in an Edwardian-style building on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road at Parel, a few minutes from the Lower Parel office towers and the Phoenix complex, with the ballroom, the terrace gardens and ITC's restaurants — Kebabs & Kurries and the rest — that make it a venue as much as a hotel.
It suits executives with a working week in Lower Parel or Parel, who want the location at a business-hotel rate rather than the St. Regis or Four Seasons rate; companies hosting a conference or a reception of up to 400 on the central Mumbai side; and families visiting the Parel hospital belt — Tata Memorial, KEM, Wadia and Global are all close — who need several nights near the hospital.
What it isn't: a sea-view or a South Mumbai hotel, and not an airport hotel. Nariman Point is 20 to 40 minutes, the airport 45 to 70. For the trip where the hotel is the point, the St. Regis or the Four Seasons nearby; for Nariman Point, the Trident.
Parel sits just north of Lower Parel on the island city, with the mill-district offices to the south-west, the hospital belt to the east and the Eastern Freeway and the Sea Link both reachable. From here Nariman Point is a run south, BKC a run north — the Lower Parel advantage, at a Parel rate.
Distances that matter

Getting there
The hotel is at 287 Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Parel, on the main north–south road through the island city. From the airport, the Western Express Highway and the Sea Link to Worli, then east to Parel, is the usual route; the Eastern Freeway from the Chembur side is the alternative. We can arrange a hotel car at arrivals with the booking.

The specific things we do for this hotel
- The right Lower Parel hotel for the rate. Three hotels serve Lower Parel and the gap between them is wide. We ask who's travelling and what for, and put you here when it's a working week, at the St. Regis or Four Seasons when the visit calls for it — and we say which, with the reasons, before you book.
- Hospital stays set up with care. For a family staying near the Parel hospitals we arrange a weekly rate, a quiet room, late checkout on the last day and one invoice, and keep one person reachable when the stay has to extend.
- GST invoicing done right. We take your company's legal name and GSTIN at booking so the invoice is issued correctly first time. At this rate level the stay usually falls in the 18% GST slab, which a GST-registered company can claim back.
- One person through the stay. A stay extended by a week, a colleague joining mid-trip, an invoice to correct — you message one person who already knows the booking.

The St. Regis Mumbai
The luxury tower above Phoenix Palladium — when the visit calls for it, and for conferences of 800 or more.

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai
Quieter luxury at Worli, by the Sea Link — the better base when BKC is also on the agenda.
