How Hinjewadi is laid out
Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park — what most people mean by “Hinjewadi” — is spread across Phases I, II and III, running west from the Mumbai–Bangalore highway. Many of India’s large IT and services companies have campuses here. Most travellers come for office visits, client workshops and project stays.
The one thing every visitor learns: peak-hour traffic in and out of Hinjewadi is heavy. That makes the choice of area more important than the choice of brand.
Three areas to stay, depending on your trip
Inside Hinjewadi. Best when your days are office-bound. You’ll walk or take a short drive to work and avoid the worst of the traffic. Evenings are quieter — hotel restaurants rather than a dining street.
Wakad. Directly next to Hinjewadi, with more budget options and quick access to the park. A practical choice for trainees, longer assignments and tighter per-night budgets.
Baner–Balewadi. Pune’s newer west-side neighbourhoods, with restaurants, cafés and Balewadi High Street. The commute to Hinjewadi is longer at peak hours, but the drive into central Pune is easier. Samyati’s own office is in Baner.
Planning tips for a Hinjewadi work trip
- Tell us your office’s phase. A hotel in Phase I is not “near” an office in Phase III at 9 AM.
- Early flights: Pune airport is on the other side of the city. For a 6 AM departure, consider a night near the airport in Viman Nagar.

Pune airport is in Lohegaon on the opposite, north-eastern side of the city, so plan on a long cross-city drive that depends heavily on traffic. For early flights, allow plenty of buffer or stay near the airport the night before.
