Viman Nagar sits next to Pune airport at Lohegaon, along the Nagar Road corridor that runs east from the city. It’s a dense mix of offices, malls and residential towers, and the hotels here are used mostly by business travellers flying in and out or working on the east side.
When to stay here
- Early flight out of Pune. The obvious reason: the drive is short and predictable outside peak hours.
- Meetings on Nagar Road, Kharadi or Yerawada. You stay close without paying central-Pune rates.
- Long project stays where serviced residences beat a hotel room.
When not to
If your work is in Hinjewadi or the western suburbs, this is the wrong side of the city — see hotels near Hinjewadi. Crossing Pune at peak hours can take well over an hour.

The Viman Nagar and Nagar Road hotels are the closest cluster to Lohegaon airport, usually a 10–20 minute drive depending on traffic and which end of the corridor you're on.
For a domestic departure, allow about two hours at the airport plus the drive. From Viman Nagar the drive is short, but Nagar Road can be slow in the morning peak, so add a buffer.
For east-side offices — Kharadi, Nagar Road, Yerawada — yes, and it's the best area if you're flying in and out. For Hinjewadi in the west, stay on that side instead.
