The trade-off
Powai is pleasant to stay in and awkward to leave at peak hours. The eastern suburbs connect to the airport and BKC via roads that clog badly at rush hour. Plan meetings to stay within the eastern belt where you can, and build a buffer for anything that crosses the city.

Yes if your meetings are in Powai, Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg or the eastern suburbs. It's greener and calmer than the western suburbs, and the lakeside hotels are more pleasant for a multi-day stay. It's a poor base for South Mumbai or BKC-heavy schedules.
