JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is one of two JW Marriott properties in Mumbai — and the one built for business travellers with tight airport connections. Opened in 2015 and directly adjacent to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s T2 terminal, the hotel functions less like a destination and more like a well-run departure lounge with 588 rooms.
It suits three kinds of guests best: early-morning flyers who need to be at check-in in 15 minutes, day-use travellers between meetings and departures, and corporate teams flying in from other cities for a Mumbai meeting who want to skip the T2-to-BKC traffic (2 hours in rush hour) and just meet at the hotel.
The property leans functional over romantic. Rooms are consistent, service is Marriott-standard, and the connectivity to T2 is genuinely 5 minutes via the dedicated skywalk. What it’s not is a leisure hotel — there’s no beach, no view worth flying for, and Sahar itself is airport-industrial. Book it for the transit efficiency, not for atmosphere.
The single biggest reason to book JW Marriott Sahar is the walkable skywalk to Terminal 2. From your room to the airport check-in counter is roughly 8–10 minutes with luggage. No taxi, no traffic, no rain.
