The Oterra Bengaluru — the hotel inside Electronic City
The only full-service hotel actually inside Electronic City: 264 rooms over 12 floors at 43 Hosur Road, Phase 1, a short walk from the Infosys campus and minutes from Wipro and Biocon. For the visit that stays on the campus side of Silk Board.
The Oterra opened in 2009 as Electronic City's own business hotel, and it still is: a 12-floor, 264-room property on Hosur Road inside Phase 1, with the Infosys campus a few minutes' walk away and Wipro, Biocon and the Phase 2 companies a short drive. The event floor — about 8,500 sq ft across five venues — is where the campuses run their vendor days and training batches.
It suits vendors, consultants and visiting teams at Infosys, Wipro, Biocon or TCS, who want the hotel on the right side of Silk Board; companies running a training batch or a vendor meet in Electronic City with the rooms attached; and long project stays, where the walk to the campus matters more than the restaurants of Koramangala.
What it isn't: an evening-out hotel or an airport hotel. Koramangala's restaurants are a 30-to-45-minute drive, the airport is the full width of the city away, and the centre is on the far side of the junction. The Yellow Line metro has made the trip into town much easier, but the hotel's purpose is the campus.
Electronic City is a 20-km run down Hosur Road from the centre, with the Silk Board junction in between. The elevated expressway and, since August 2025, the Yellow Line metro are what make it workable — and staying inside the zone removes the junction from your day entirely.
Distances that matter
- Infosys campus: About 0.7 km — 8 minutes' walk
- Wipro / Biocon campuses: About 5 to 10 minutes
- Electronic City metro (Yellow Line): A short ride
- Silk Board junction: About 10 km — 20 to 45 minutes
- Koramangala / HSR Layout: About 30 to 45 minutes
- MG Road: 60 to 90 minutes, or the Yellow Line to Jayadeva and onward
- Kempegowda International Airport: About 55 km — 90 minutes to 2 hours
Getting there
The hotel is at 43 Hosur Road in Electronic City Phase 1, on the city side of the zone. From the centre, take the elevated expressway from Silk Board and leave at the Phase 1 exit; from the airport, allow the full two hours at peak. For a morning flight we'd book the last night nearer the airport.
Rates vary by season, day of week, and availability. WhatsApp us your dates for a firm quote within the hour. All rates GST-extra and include ITC-compliant invoicing.

The specific things we do for this hotel
- On the campus side of Silk Board. We ask for the office first. If it's Infosys, Wipro, Biocon or anywhere in Phases 1 to 3, this is where we'd put you, and we put the commute in writing with the confirmation — including the metro option into town for the evening.
- Training batches set up as one booking. For a vendor day or a training programme we quote the venue and the room block together, manage the rooming list and send one invoice per batch in your company's name.
- GST invoicing done right. We take your company's legal name and GSTIN at booking so the invoice is issued correctly first time. We tell you which GST slab the rate falls in before you confirm, so finance knows whether the credit applies.
- One person through the stay. A trainee added at the last minute, a late checkout because the batch ran over, an invoice to correct — you message one person who already knows the booking.
